Motion City Soundtrack

Hello!

This is the second sentence for the first post about the first episode of We Should Hang Out More!

This episode is one of my favorite bands on planet earth. A band that for the better part of 10 years i have listened to their music, enjoyed their shows and idolized them for being amazing artists. To sit and just hang out with them was surreal. i was so incredibly nervous that i forgot to take pictures, or get anything signed!

The show, which features Justin Pierre, Matt Taylor and Joshua Cain, was recorded in Austin Texas during their 10th Anniversary of Commit This To Memory, an album that is truly a work of art. Every song on the album to me plays like poetry, bursting with true emotion. Run time is about 40 minutes but it felt like 10 minutes in my head! Maybe I'll be fortunate enough to have them come back on the podcast in the future.

Anywyas after killing some time in Austin, i got to enjoy the show. It was the best show i have ever seen them play. Well... it was half them, half the crowd that was there to see their favorite band play their most iconic songs. Motion City fed on their energy and reciprocated, it was a beautiful thing to be a part of, although i was hoarse for two days straight. It's definitely a tour you do not want to miss, these guys are out there giving their all and playing all the songs we want to hear.

i really hope you enjoy the show, and if you don't im sure you will find a way to unfurl your rage on it somehow, because you know, the internet.
