Quick Hang/ Jacob Aleman and The Pixies
Jacob is one of my dearest friends and that’s why I wanted his episode to be the first of this new segment im calling Quick Hang.
The idea is to sit down with my friends for a few minutes and have them suggest something to me that they love to do, cook, watch or listen. I will be working on the formula and structure of this segment year-round until I settle into something I really like. One thing I really want to hold true is the length, I really don’t want it going longer than 15 minutes. It’s a quick hang.
This episode is about THE PIXIES, Jacob's favorite band.
Special shout out to the Suggestible podcast for the inspiration, Clair and James AKA Mr. Sunday Movies (grab dat gem) y’all are the best.

David G. Loyola / Art Director, San Antonio Magazine

David Loyola is the incredible Art Director at San Antonio Magazine. He is so gifted, kind, and was very generous with opening up about his life and his story. A truly delightful person and someone with which I wish I could hang out more if he wasn’t busy creating beautiful things!
episode start 03:57
This is a deeply personal episode. I was so inspired after my interview with David in June of 2019 that I stopped everything I was doing and started to focus on things like fixing my resume, sprucing up this website and ultimately building a digital resume. Shortly after, I started applying for jobs that I hoped would begin to challenge me in new and interesting ways. This podcast is still my passion project and it is my hope that I can continue to bring you interesting stories and personalities all through 2020.
Ben Hodge/EEVET
Ben Hodge is an entrepreneur, CEO and co-founder of EEVET (Event Escrow Vetting) He is someone who I've "known" online and through mutual friends but have never formally introduced myself or talked with at length. He was incredibly open and smart and I really hope we really do hang out more after this because he really is an incredibly determined individual who I admire even more now!
Tacos And Tapouts/Tim Storm
Tacos and Tapouts is a show that I produce for Dr. Joe Bonilla and Gerald Castilleja! I have been honored to be a part of their journey as a producer, audio engineer, guest booking and at times even guest hosting. I pick this episode to feature because it was such a wonderful interview with Tim Storm, someone who is as accomplished anyone in pro-wrestling and I felt like this episode really encapsulated the what I have seen first hand over the past year, which is people who have a true passion for what they’re doing, following their dreams. I hope you enjoy this episode!

Show is back after years long hiatus with Councilwoman Ana Sandoval
Photos by Jonathan Guajardo - Photographer, The San Antonio Sentinel.
I am so thankful to Ana and her staff, she was an absolute delight, someone ive been wanting to meet since her first election, she’s a fascinating person, so smart and confident, kind and genuine. Someone who i am glad took the step into public service we need more people of her caliber in office. This episode was recorded at the Maverick Branch public library.
“Ana Sandoval is a product of San Antonio’s District 7. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1993, Ms. Sandoval went on to obtain a B.S. from MIT in Chemical Engineering, M.S. at Stanford University in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Master’s in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. As a Fulbright Scholar in 1997-1998, she also obtained a Diplomado in Binational Business from the ITAM in Mexico City”
Another huge thank you to Jonathan Guajardo, Editor in Chief of the San Antonio Sentinel who came to help document the show. Jonathan is a friend, and someone who i highly respect and one who’s work i cant recommend enough. We met many years ago through Dr Joey Lopez who, by the way is also an incredibly kind and genuine person who along with his wonderful wife Corina, have personally taught me so much and if they’re reading this, i want you on the show soon please!
So without further ado, Councilwoman Ana Sandoval.
Its been a few years since my last episode!
I still have a lot going on though, still at my restaurant, Sabor! Cocina Mexicana,
Still been on the air
sort of
I am now part of/produce a wrestling show called Tacos and Tapouts . A show that i am incredibly proud of and has grown in to a beast all its own.
This show though is my baby, I love doing it and, i have neglected it in favor of other, more profitable, ventures.
So where does that leave us now?
I will continue to produce other podcasts/shows, and continue working and growing my restaurant, but i will now take personal time to make sure i do this show more often, because it truly brings me joy to sit down and converse with all this wonderful human beings,
David Gross/Mike Riley
David Gross (President, San Antonio Symphony) and Mike Riley (GM Majestic Theatre) join the podcast to talk about E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial Live in concert this weekend! It is going to be an incredible experience when the symphony performs the E.T. soundtrack live while the movie plays on a huge HD screen at the beautiful Majestic Theatre!
Kevin Lyman
Recording this episode was too surreal, I was nervous because anyone who is sitting in front of a legend, an icon one of their personal heroes would be too. He was incredibly nice to me, gave me as much time as he could and I was crazy lucky to have been able to sit and chat for as long as we did. I look forward to being able have him on the podcast again!

April Macie
Ahhh, April Macie, she is so smart, gorgeous and funny and I am so dumb and awkward! This was one of my favorite episodes because I learned so much about women in comedy and some of the struggles they go through that I hadn't thought of before. She was a fantastic guest and fantastic performer, look out for her on tour at aprilmacie.com
